The goals of the Riviera Beach Heights Community Garden Program (RBHCG) are to inspire urban gardens, to encourage others to lead healthier lifestyles, to educate the community on gardening and the environment, and to encourage socialization and entrepreneurship. We envision that teaching gardens such as these, will crop up all over our city. The RBHCG serves as a beacon for information, support and education for our community. We encourage individuals, businesses and groups to strive for their own organic garden and to use this main garden as a hub to connect our communities to strategies to eradicate this food desert in our communities. Backyard gardens encourage self-sufficiency and can be empowering. We have and will continue to support other gardens throughout our community through volunteers, grants, by donating gardening materials and through education.
We have supported the following gardens listed below. These gardens continue to thrive. They are used by many in the neighborhood and they continue to empower our community to create their own gardens and to eat healthy.
