Kiwanis Club of Riviera Beach Donated $2,000 to the RBCDC

On Monday, February 28, 2022, the Kiwanis Club of Riviera Beach presented a donation and support in the amount of $2,000 for the Riviera Beach Heights Community Garden located at 1010 W 10th Street, Riviera Beach FL. Two non-profit organizations will benefit from this support and partnership; Nelson’s Outreach Ministries and Children’s Outreach, Inc will be provided food harvested from the garden. Mr. Robert Dillingham, President, and members of the Kiwanis Club of Rivera Beach, Pastor Teresa Nelson, the CEO of Nelson’s Outreach Ministries, Ms. Capurnia Larkins, the CEO of Children’s Outreach, Inc., members of the Riviera Beach Community Development Corporation, Inc.(RBCDC), The Riviera Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (RBCRA), Ali Hall – Community Garden Program Manager, and Christopher McCullon – Master Gardener, were in attendance.

The Riviera Beach Heights Community Garden will also serve our community as a gathering place, horticultural resource and a source of pride and inspiration. We strive to offer programs that will foster healthy eating habits and lifestyles. We will introduce our community to a variety of fruits and vegetables and provide programming to show a variety of ways to cook in a way that is healthy and delicious for the whole family.

Our goal is to bring neighborhood beautification, neighborhood solidarity, cultivate the spirit of community and enhance quality of life.

Press Release – Riviera Beach CRA Helps Neighborhood Grow More Beautiful With the Launch of Garden

RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. (November 5, 2014) – City leaders in Riviera Beach on October 25 broke ground on the first phase of a $1.1 million, three-part project to beautify the Riviera Beach Heights neighborhood. City Commissioners kicked off the beginning of construction for the Riviera Beach Community Redevelopment Agency’s “Community Garden,” to be operated in conjunction with its nonprofit affiliate, the Riviera Beach Community Development Corporation.
